Plans for Today

Hello, Moms! We’ve had a few questions about MOMs group today – mostly because there doesn’t seem to be a forecast that calls for definitively ‘good’ or ‘bad’ weather.

We’re going to go for it, meeting at the playground / splash pad at the River Heights Community Centre as planned. The theme of the morning will be USE YOUR BEST JUDGMENT. There’s lots of shade at the playground, but these kiddos of ours will need plenty of sunscreen, hats, and water. And if that tiny chance of a thundershower actually looks like it’s going to happen, we’ll be packing up early.

See you there!

This Week Is At…

Oh, yes… It is DEFINITELY summer now! This week (June 30), we’re meeting at the River Heights Community Centre’s playground + spray pad at 1370 Grosvenor for some fun in the sun.

We’ll meet around 10 am at the playground, then move to the other side of the fence for the wet + wild portion of our playdate when the spray pad opens at 11 am.

Please check back here on Thursday morning if you’re not sure about the weather. If it’s looking sketchy, we’ll post a rain location before 9 am.

This Week is At…

Cordova Park!

To update you on the Children’s Museum idea, after talking to some other moms, I have decided that we won’t meet up there as a group on a Thursday. I am definitely going to be going SOON though, so if anyone wants to come with me, let me know!

A Quick Question

The newly-renovated Children’s Museum is open for business, and I absolutely want to check it out. It’s $10 admission – for kids over 1 as well as adults. Is that kosher for Thursday mornings? I won’t go for it unless I get TWO replies – otherwise, I’ll keep Thursdays at various parks and go another time. (If you don’t want to comment, you can send me an email instead.)

Thanks!

~Annemarie

This Week Is At… and an update!

This week is at Bethel. If it’s nice, we should DEFINITELY head outside this time – the basement gets pretty stuffy.

Tara posted a comment in last week’s update, but I’m reposting it here so that you can all see her good news:

Hi all!

I just wanted to give you all some news. So, I’ve been looking for a new job for a looooonnnnnnnggggg time, but really in earnest since January, as most of you know. My hard work has finally paid off! I have been offered and have accepted a position with the Salvation Army Ethics Centre as an Admin/Research Assistant!!! I tendered my resignation letter today and my last day with the WSO will be the 17th! I think my director was ready to cry!!!

I think that I will have a great weekend!! I hope that all of you do too!

Tara

See you Thursday!

This Week Update

In case anyone checks back here before coming to MOMs tomorrow, Sandy says that if it’s raining we are more than welcome to have a mass playdate in her house. So don’t let the weather keep you and your munchkins at home!
