This Week: Zumba with Karla

This week we will be shaking things up and getting our groove on up in the DINNING HALL. So dress in comfy clothes your not afraid to sweat in.

She will be starting at 9:45 sharp and can only stay to play until 10:30 so there will be time for snack and coffee afterwards.

Coming Up: It’s Time!

Hello friends! Great news! We are starting up again on THURSDAY! Thank goodness we made it until now.

We’re going to do our usual registration and intro, but we’re also going to introduce a topic for next Thursday. For quite some time, people have been asking for us to do a session based on the book Simplicity Parenting., so we are going to do it next week. There are a few of us who own the book already. It’s available from the library here and Amazon here. (Chapters has it in stock, but McNally does not). Or you can skip reading it and join the conversation anyway, possibly giving yourself a nice flashback to all those times you wrote papers without having read the book. Good times!

I am so excited to get back to our Thursdays and I can’t wait to see all of you!

This Week: Advent Traditions

This week we’re going to talk about our Advent traditions and Sarah is going to lead us in a super-awesome Advent craft. Since it’s gotten stupid cold and snowy this week, it doesn’t even feel weird to talk about Christmas anymore. Because like it or not, Christmas is coming!

This Week: Difficult Conversations

Melissa Miller, pastor at Springstein Mennonite Church and family counsellor, is going to be at MOMs on Thursday to talk to us about how to have difficult conversations with our kids. Topics like death and divorce are tough to handle with preschoolers (and older kids too!) in a way that is honest but doesn’t scare them. It won’t be a fluffy morning, but it will be well worth attending.

See you there!

This Week: Group Advice

This week, we’re revisiting a previously awesome session in which we get into small groups divided up by our children’s ages and talk about the highs and lows, get help and advice, and share tips. There will definitely be time to switch up the groups for those of us with more than one kid. Last time this session was a great resource for many of us, and I hope it’s equally good this time.
