I am going to apologize in advance one for flooding your inbox with blog posts and two because of my computer and it’s incompetent operator. I had typed it up and then lost it hence an email that was blank. Palm to face.
So I thought that I would write out a separate post for these activities so they didn’t get lost in the advent awesomeness.
Do you want to visit Santa Clause?
Kildonan Place Mall has visits with Santa and you can take pictures and videos for FREE! It get’s better they email you the photos, and you can take those photos to the Shoppers in the Mall and get a FREE 4×6 photo from the photo lab. There is also colouring pictures that you can save and print. Here is the Link.
Don’t want to travel to the boonies? Here are a few options closer to home.
The Friends of Gardens Manitoba along with MB Hydro hosts the Festival of Tree and Lights in the Hydro Building downtown. Saturday Dec 8th is their Family Fun Day with visits with Santa and FREE horse drawn carriage rides. Remember to bring your camera because you can take pictures in front of your favourite vignette. Admission is FREE, donations are gratefully accepted. Here is the Link.
The Forks also has visits with Santa. Here is a Link to the Calendar. He only visits on the weekends but again it’s FREE! Or you can pay $10 to have a pro take photos and email them to you. Also some things of note they have Christmas crafts for kids on the 8th, 9th, 15th, 16th, which corresponds with Santa and I think this is genuinely awesome. There will be a Signing Santa on the 15th. Also bring your skates because the Plaza Skating Rink is OPEN!
The Manitoba Electrical Museum & Education Centre’s All That Glows Exhibit is now open and it is FREE!

And Canad Inns Winter Wonder Land at the Ex is OPEN. It is not free. You can purchase your tickets at the gate for $15 per car (under 7 occupants) or you can purchase ticket in advance at Mac’s, Co-op gas bar, or Canad Inns for $10 per car (under 7 occupants). Here is the Link. There is also special activities and “treats” depending on when you go.
